품질원가회계에서 Taguchi의 품질손실함수의 유용성에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문의 목적은 Taguchi의 품질손실함수의 유용성을 살펴보는 데 있다. 전통적 품질원가의 측정방법은 품질과 관련해서 회계상 발생된 원가만을 품질원가로서 회계처리하는 데 비해, Taguchi의 품질손실함수는 제품성능의 목표치를 벗어나는 것은 모두 불량품으로 간주하여 회계상 측정되는 품질원가와 회계상 측정되지는 않지만 품질불량으로 인해 초래될 매출감소 등의 기회원가 모두를 추정하는 수단을 제공한다. 또한 Taguchi는 품질원가를 제품성능의 목표치를 벗어난 제품이 고객에게 인도된 후 사회에 미칠 손실로 간주하여, 전통적 품질개념과 다른 새로운 견해를 제공해 준다.

본 논문은 Taguchi의 품질손실함수와 전통적 품질원가의 개념을 비교하여, 품질손실함수의 유형과 민감도 수준을 고려하여 품질원가의 추정방법을 설명한다. 그리고 예시자료를 이용하여 품질원가를 추정하고, 그 결과들의 비교 분석을 통해 품질손실함수가 품질원가의 측정과 관리에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다는 것을 제시한다.

This paper discusses the usefulness of the Taguchi's quality loss function measuring quality costs and controlling product quality. For this purpose, this paper intended 1) to explain the theoretical aspect of the Taguchi's quality loss function the context of the traditional quality cost accounting, 2) to discuss the advantage of the Taguchi function in detecting the previously immeasurable quality costs and controlling quality costs, and 3) exemplifies the usefulness of the Taguchi function with comparing the probable powers of alternate quality loss functions through sensivity analysis.
