A Numerical Simulation of Incompressible Free Surface Laminar Flows by the Artificial Compressibility Navier-Stokes Solver
Abstract
In the present paper, Artificial Compressibility Method(ACM) is adopted for numerical analysis of laminar flows with free surface.

An explicit algorithm is enployed in numerical computation and its validity is checked through some example calculations for the well known Backward Facing Step Flow and Driven Cavity problem.

Furthermore, the present method is applied to the free surface laminar flow problem, the main subject of the present study, in which flow pattern analysis is carried out for a two dimensional with various bump shapes.
