유·초 통합 전래놀이가 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 효과

Abstract

계층에 따라 다른 가정 및 유아교육적 환경 등으로 인해 저소득층 아동의 경우 현대사회를 살아가는데 필요한 정서지능이 낮을 수 있다. 본 연구는 유·초 통합 전래놀이를 통하여 다양한 정서적 경험을 하게 한 후 정서지능간의 관계를 알아봄으로써 유·초 통합 전래놀이가 유아의 정서지능의 하위요소들과 어떤 관계가 있는지 살표보았다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 울산시 동구에 위치한 H병설유치원 유아 20명과 인근에 위치한 B병설유치원 유아 20명을 대상으로 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 실험 집단에는 주 2회로 12주 동안 실외 전래놀이 프로그램을 실시하였고, 평가를 위해서는 이병래(1997)의 정서지능 체크리스트를 참고로 재구성하여 유아교육 전문가 5인의 타당성을 검증한 체크리스트를 평가도구로 사용하였으며 사전-사후 검사와 집단 간 차이 검정을 위하여 대응표본 및 독립표본 t 검정을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 유·초 통합 전래놀이 활동은 저소득층 유아의 정서지능에 유의한 효과가 나타났다. 정서지능의 하위 요소 중 유아의 자기 정서인식 및 표현능력, 자기 정서 조절 능력고 자기 동기화 능력 수준, 타인정서 인식·능력 수준과 대인관계 및 사회적 기술능력에 유의한 효과가 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 온 동네 아이의 어른들이 함께 즐기던 전래놀이를 누구나 즐길 수 있도록 우리 정서에 맞게 발전시켜야 하며, 또한 유아의 정서지능을 높일 수 있는 다양한 교육 환경과 유아들에게 적합한 프로그램 개발로 활발히 진행되어 유아교육 현장에 제공되어져야 할 것이다.

It is possible that the low-income group children have low emotional intelligence because of education surroundings. Therefore, it is important that the kinder-primary intergrade traditional plays can complement the emotional experience in childhood. This study shows how the intergrade traditional plays are related with the emotional intelligence for the low income group children. At first, I had divided 40 children into Iwo groups. One is the experimental group and the other is an controlled group. 1 had programed that they enjoyed the traditional plays twice a week for 12 weeks. 1 had estimated their El on the base of a new El checklist which is based on the Lee Byong-Rae's. Following are the findings of this study :First, the low-income group children's El is lower than the controlled group' EI. The second, the intergrade traditional plays have a large effect on children's El. 1'he third, the intergrade traditional plays have a large effect on the emotional-control, the self-motivation, the ability to identify other's emotions and their interpersonal skills.
