The Effects of the System Parameters of a Propulsion Shaft System on its Lateral Vibration Eigenvalue
Abstract
推進軸系의 橫振動固有値를 有限要素法에 依하여 計算하는 方法과 軸系의 각 시스템파라메터를 計算하는 方法을 論하였다.

本 硏究에 고려된 시스템파라메터는 船尾管베아링내에서의 支持點의 位置, 船尾管베아링部의 剛性船, 尾管內의 附加油效果 그리고 프로펠라의 附加水 및 推力效果등이다.

推進軸系의 시스템파라메터의 變化가 軸系橫振動固有値에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여, 計算모델로서 試算對象船인 Roll-on/Roff-off船의 推進軸系가 使用되였으며 이 軸系에 대해서 數値計算을 행하였다. 計算結果 이들의 각 파라메터가 軸系固有値에 미치는 영향이 큼을 定量的으로 確認하였다. 따라서 推進軸系의 橫振動計算에는 이들 파라메터의 영향을 모두 고려해야 할 必要가 있다.
In this paper, analysis is made to investigate sensitivity of the eigenvalue in a lateral vibration problem to the system parameters of a typical propulsion shaft system.

The system parameters include the support position of the sterntube bearing, the rigidity of the sterntube bearing in combination with the oil film effect, the entrained water effect of the propeller, the added mass effect of the oil within the stern tube, and the thrust effect of the propeller.

For analysis of a coupled free lateral vibratinn of shafting, a computer program[6]based on the finite element method was developed.

From the results of thin analysis, it is found that the lateral eigenvalue problem of a shafting is greatly influenced not only by the first three parameters, but also to some extent by the remaining parameters. Therefore all these parameters shall be taken into consideration for comprehensive analysis of the lateral vibration.
