Effects of Stretching with a Board after Exercise-Induced Muscle Fatigue on Exercise Performance, Pain Perception, Oxidative Stress and Fatigue Substances
Abstract
Background: The number of daily sports enthusiasts is increasing rapidly, but the general public lacks expertise in removing fatigue substances that occur when participating in exercise, making it difficult to quickly return to daily life after exercise, increasing the rate of stopping exercise.

Objectives: To find out the effects of using stretching board treatment after causing muscle fatigue on motor performance, pain perception, oxidative stress, and fatigue substances.

Methods: 24 healthy adults were randomly assigned a group and treated with using board stretching, general stretching and non-treatment after muscle fatigue. A bicycle ergometer was performed to induce muscle fatigue.

Results: There was no significant difference between group when each treatment method was applied after muscle fatigue. Board stretching treatment did not affect motor performance, pain perception, oxidative stress, and fatigue substances.

Conclusions: When stretching treatment using boards conducted on a one-time basus for healthy adults, there was no significant difference in any treatment group compared to the control group.
