- Alternative Title
- Comparison of Physical Activity according to Exercise Intensity by Position of Soccer Players at Home and Away Matches
- Abstract
- [Purpose]
The purpose of the study is to analyze the physical activity characteristics and exercise intensity data for each position in home and away matches using GPS data for K4 league soccer players in Korea.
[Method]
The activity amount analysis was conducted using Catapult’s GPS device and targeted the 2020 K-4 League runner-up team. A total of 24 matches of the K-4 league held from May to November 2020 were analyzed.
[Results]
In the case of the difference in the amount of activity between home and away games, it was found that DF did more high-intensity running and sprint-intensity activities in away games than in home games. As a result of comparing the amount of activity according to the exercise intensity by position, it was found that MF was the most active in total activity, DF in walking and jogging, MF in low and mediumintensity running, and FW in high-intensity running and sprint.
[Conclusion]
As mentioned above, there was a difference in the amount of activity for each position of a soccer player in a home and away match, and a scientific training and recovery program considering the position and individuality should be prepared by collecting various data considering player characteristics, the strength of the opposing team, and the characteristics of the home and away games.
