초등 4학년 학생들의 부모행복감이 자녀행복감에 미치는 영향: 부모양육태도의 매개효과를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 부모 행복감이 자녀 행복감에 미치는 영향과 자녀가 인식하는 부모의 양육태도의 매개효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 한국아동·청소년패널조사 2018(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018) 4차년도 자료를 활용하여 초등학교 4학년 아동과 부모 2,203명을 연구대상으로 선정하였고, R통계분석 프로그램과 Lavaan 패키지를 통해 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과는 부모가 느끼는 행복감은 자녀의 행복감과 정적 상관이 있으며, 부모의 행복감은 부모양육태도 중 따스함과 자율성 지지의 양육태도를 거쳐서 자녀의 행복감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 부모와 자녀의 행복감의 정서가 세대간 이전되고 있고, 자녀의 행복감을 증진시키기 위해서 부모의 행복감이 선행되어야 하며, 부모가 따스하고 애정어린 태도로 자녀의 선택을 존중해 준다면 자녀는 심리적 안정감과 함께 건강한 성장과 발달을 이룰 수 있다는 이론적 실천적 함의를 도출하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 부모교육의 필요성과 타당성을 확인하고, 부모의 따스함과 자율성지지의 양육태도가 청소년의 행복감 증진을 위한 중요한 변인임을 재검증하였다는 점이다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of parental happiness on children's happiness in 4th grade children and to verify the mediating effect of parenting attitudes. As the research subjects, 2,203 elementary school students in 4th grade and their parents were selected as a panel using data from the fourth year of the Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey 2018 conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. Path analysis was performed using the R statistical package and programs such as Lavaan were used for mediating effect analysis. The findings of the study are as follows. First, parental happiness and children's happiness have a significant direct positive correlation. Second, as a result of examining the effect of parents' happiness on parenting attitudes and children's happiness, warmth, autonomy support, and structure provision among parenting attitudes form a positive correlation with children's happiness whereas inconsistency has a negative correlation with it. Third, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect, not only does parental happiness directly affect children's happiness, but it also shows the path leading to children's happiness through warmth and autonomy support. This study suggests that parental happiness should be preceded in order to increase children's happiness and that when children's choices are respected with a warm and affectionate attitude to improve children's intrinsic motivation, psychological stability and healthy growth and development of children can be achieved. The results of this analysis indicated that parental attitudes of parenting should be checked during the period when their children are in their early puberty, and autonomy to respect their children, affectionate mind, and consistent parenting attitude should be educated.
