Biomineralization of titanium dioxide with enhanced photocatalytic activity induced by lysozyme–polystyrene template
- Abstract
- TiO2 with an enhanced photocatalytic activity was biomineralized using a lysozyme (LYZ)–polystyrene (PS) biotemplate. We present novel and green biomineralization route for particles to increase the photodegradation efficiency of rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation. The LYZ–PS template constructed via facile passive adsorption process ambient environment. electrostatic interaction between PS LYZ allowed as rigid function nucleation core induce particles. not only enabled empty structure in during calcination but also provided higher nitrogen content final photocatalyst. templated exhibited improved au. 98% degradation RhB after 80 min solar performance can be attributed synergetic effect morphology, crystallinity band gap.
