Study on the detection of delamination in composite laminate
Abstract
탄소/에폭시 복합재료 적층판의 층과 층 사이에서 발생하는 층간 분리량을 균열 진전에 른 저항변화량을 이용하여 측정하였다. 탄소/에폭시 프리프레그를 16겹, 24겹, 32겹을 적층여 두께 2, 3, 4 mm의 다양한 시편을 제작하였고, 브릿지 회로를 구성하여 Electric Potential Method를 적용하였다. 100 mm까지 균열이 진전할 때 저항 변화량의 경향을 파악한 결과 비선형성을 갖는 것을 알 수 있었고 이 관계를 실험식으로 제시하였다. 이 식을 이용하면 층간분리 발생 가능성이 높은 복합재료 구조물의 취약 부분의 결함을 쉽게 예측, 검사할 수 있을 것이다.
The amount of delamination occurring between layers of graphite/epoxy composite laminate was detected by measuring resistance change. Specimens with various thicknesses were made by laminating 16, 24, and 32 plies of graphite/epoxy prepregs, and electric potential method was used by constructing bridge circuit. Resistance change at every 10mm of crack propagation up to 100mm was measured. It was found that nonlinearity existed between the resistance change and crack propagation rate and empirical formulas were proposed. The amount of interlaminar facture in composite structure will be detected and measured more easily with these formulas.
