Design and Fabrication of Microstrip Patch Antenna for GPS Satellite Receiver
Abstract
고유전율의 유전체 세라믹 기판을 사용하여 GPS(Global Positioning System) 위성수신용 단일 급전 원형편파 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나를 제작하여 시험하였다. 제작된 안테나는 작기 때문에 차량과 같은 이동체에 사용하기 적합하였다. 우선회 원형편파를 구현하기위해 정방형 패 치면의 모서리를 잘랐다. 급전 방식은 패치면의 50Ω지점에 동축 프로브로 하였고, 시뮬레이션 하여 1.57542GHz에서 공진되도록 설계하였다.

제작된 안테나의 반사손실은 -13.394dB이고, 공진 주파수는 설계 주파수보다 약간 높은 1.591GHz로 측정되었다. 따라서 이 안테나는 GPS 위성수신용으로 사용하기에 적합하였다.
Single-feed circularly polarized microstip patch antenna for GPS Satellite Receiver was fabricated by using high permittivity dielectric ceramic substrate and tested. This miniature antenna is suitable to be used for mobile such as cars. By truncating the corners of squared patch, right hand circular polarization was realized. It was fed by coaxial probe on patch at 50Ω impedance, and was simulated to resonate at 1.57542GHz.

The return loss of this antenna was -13.394dB, and resonant frequency was measured at 1.591GHz higher than desired frequency. Therefore, it could be used for GPS Satellite Receiver.
