기숙사 거주 여대생의 단위공간 내 영역행동에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 기숙사 거주 여대생을 대상으로 단위공간 내에서 개인공간을 확보하기 위해 나타나는 영역행동을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 울산대학교 기숙사에 거주하는 48명의 여학생을 대상으로 단위공간에서 느끼는 프라이버시 및 개인공간 · 영역성 지각과 단위공간 구획방식에 따른 영역행동을 설문조사와 관찰조사를 병행하여 조사하였으며 연구결과는 다음과 같다.

첫째, 조사대상 여학생들은 단위공간에서 프라이버시와 개인공간의 영역확보에 대해 긍정적으로 지각하고 있으며 둘째, 단위공간 구획방식에서는 침대와 책상을 중심으로 개인의 생활영역이 구분되고 학년에 따른 영역행동의 위계성이 나타나고 있다. 셋째, 개인공간의 구획방법은 주로 가구배치를 통해 다른 사람의 장소와 구분하고 있으며 좀더 적극적인 방법으로 커튼이나 가리개 등을 사용하여 자신의 영역을 표현하였다.

The results indicate that the students tend to have strong positive perceptions of privacy, personal space and territoriality in their rooms, and territorial marIners including furnitures, screens and curtains serve to protect individual spots in the rooms.
