유아기 부모 양육태도와 유아의 문제행동간의 관계

Abstract

울산광역시에 거주하?? 3세에서 6세 사이의 유아를 둔 부모(367명)를 대상으로 부모의 양육 참여 정도, 양육 행동 및 양육 태도와 자녀의 문제 행동에 대한 지각을 조사하였다. 3-6세 아동의 부모 양육 행동을 살펴보면 부모 모두 신체로 칭찬을 표시하며 말로 훈육하는 경우가 가장 많았다. 자녀의 문제 행동들에 대한 요인 분석한 결과 제 1요인은 내재화 문제, 제 2요인은 외현화 문제, 그리고 제 3의 요인은 반사회성으로 나타났다. 요인별 문제 행동 점수 및 전체 문제 행동 점수에 대해 부모의 양육 참여시간(책 읽어 주는 시간, 대화시간)등과의 상관을 분석한 결과 이러한 부모의 양육 참여양과 무제 행동간에는 상관이 없었다. 그러나 책을 읽어주는 지 여부에 따른 문제 행동간에는 상관이 있어 책을 많이 익어 줄수록 외현화 문제, 그리고 반사회성이 낮은 것으로 보고되었다. 부모 양육 유형이 자녀의 문제 행동에 영향을 미치는지 살펴본 결과 아버지의 경우 애정-통제 두 차원에서 모두 높은 권위있는 집단의 자녀가 가장 많은 문제 행동을 나타내는 것으로 보고되었다. 반면 어머니의 경우 애정은 낮으나 통제성이 높은 권위적 양육 유형 집단에서 가장 높은 문제 행동을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 각 문제행동 유형별로 살펴보면 내재화 문제의 경우 아버지의 양육 유형이 권위있는 경우 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면 어머니의 경우는 권위적인 양육유형을 보일 때 가장 내재화 문제가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 외현화 문제의 경우 아버지의 경우는 권위있는 양육유형일 때가 가장 많았으나 어머니의 양육 유형에 따른 차이를 보이지 않았다.

Three hundred and sixty parents with 3-6 year olds in Ulsan were surveyed on parenting behavior and attitudes. It was found that Korean parents reinforced their preschoolers with physical praise rather than material or other reinforcers. They used verbal punishment more than physical punishment. Factor analyses revealed that preschoolers' problem behaviors were grouped into three factors, internalized problems, externalized problems and anti-social behaviors. There were no correlation between children's problem behavior and the parents' involvements in time. Bur parenting styles predict different children's problem behavior.
