장묘제도의 현황 인식과 발전을 위한 실천적 방안

Abstract

본 논고에서는 우선 장묘 제도의 현황 및 변화 양상, 의식의 변화를 먼저 살펴보고 그에 따른 실천적 방안에 대해 논의하고자한다. 특히 앞서 가고 있는 서울특별시의 모범 사례와 지방행정에서도 모범을 보이고 있는 사업들을 소개하면서, 울산광역시의 장묘 제도의 실천적 방안에 대해서도 제언하고자 한다.

본 연구를 통하여 다음과 같은 인식과 앞으로의 과제를 제시한다.

첫째, 매장중심의 관행은 전통적 관행이라 볼 수 없으며 장묘관행은 사회현실에 따라 응통성 있게 변화해야 한다. 둘째, 종교와 묘지 관행은 깊은 관련을 가지고 있으며 종교단체의 역할이 크다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 장묘관련 법률의 시행과 함께 자치단체장의 관심과 준비가 함께 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 화장률은 증가하고 있기 때문에 충분한 장묘시설의 확보가 필요하다. 다섯째, 선진국의 장묘관행을 통해 자연환경관리와 삶과 죽음의 조화를 이를 수 있는 방안을 마련해야 한다.

This paper reviewed current situation and consciousness change of burial and cremation system. Also we describes practicing method on the basis of the questions. we suggested the burial and cremation plan of 7san City through introducing of the way for advance of burial and cremation. The results of this study are as follows;

First, the present thinking about burial grounds is not traditional thinking and create serious problems. Therefore, thinking about burial should be changed by current situation.

Second, each religion has been the important factor in determining burial and cremation culture. Also, role of religion unit is important factor.

Third, practicing the law about the burial and funeral, local president keep on making an effort and preparation to improve the funeral system.

Forth, because people prefer cremation when they die, the provision of cremtoria and service facilities should be expended.

Fifth, the burial culture of advanced nations conserves the natural environment by promoting cemetries for people who feel that practice is not culturally unacceptable.
