球形物體에서의 응력파전달

- Abstract
- 球形物體가 충돌하는 경우에 그 내부에서 발생하는 응력파를 유한요소법을 사용하여 계산했다.
충돌지점에서 발생된 압축력은 파동형태로 전파되며 球의 중심부에서 가장 큰 인장응력이 발생함을 계산으로 확인했다. 이러한 결과는 인장응력에 약한 유리로 만들어진 球가 충돌후 그 중심부에서부터 파괴가 시작되는 실험결과와 같다.
The Prolbem of stress wave propagation in a sphere is solved by Finite Element Method.
The Compressive stress which occurs at collision point is reflected on the surface of the sphere and the mxmum tensile stress is formed near the center of the sphere.
So if the sphere is made of glass which is fragile in tensile stress, Fracture begins to develop near center.
