- Abstract
- We have measured and theoretically analyzed the respone function of ionization chamber for radiation detection. The response function of ionization chamber plays important role in small field size dosimetry. One has used simple 2-dim model in present, which is inaccurate. In this study, we could explain the experimental results of dose response function for ionization chamber, by applying the effects of chamber dimension, chamber wall, central electrode and the probability of compton scatter. We expect that can get more precise results from convolution method by using the results from this study.
