Abstract
We developed the visible-light mediated photoredox-catalyzed hydroalkoxymethylation of mono activated Michael acceptor with neutral silicon based traceless activation group (TAG). This work involves in-situ-generated
alkoxymethyl radical via single electron oxidation of alkoxymethyltrimethylsilane by 1,2,3,5-tetrakis(carbazol-9-yl)-4,6-dicyanobenzene (4CzIPN) as photocatalyst.Various functional groups were tolerated under mild and metal-free conditions to provide good to excellent yields.
