대학생의 성취목표지향성과 학업지연행동 간 관계 : 과제회피/자극추구의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 대학생의 학업지연행동, 과제회피/자극추구, 성취목표지향성의 상관관계와 영향을 살펴보고 과제회피/자극추구가 성취목표지향성과 학업지연행동 간의 관계를 매개하는지 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 성취목표지향성의 세 가지 하위요인(숙달접근, 수행접근, 수행회피)와 과제회피/자극추구, 학업지연행동의 관계는 어떠한가? 둘째, 과제회피/자극추구는 성취목표지향성과 학업지연행동의 관계를 매개하는가? 본 연구의 설문은 U광역시와 B광역시에 소재한 대학교에 재학 중인 남녀 대학생을 대상으로 온라인 자기보고식 설문지를 통해 총 391부의 자료를 수집하여 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료 분석은 SPSS Statistics 21.0 프로그램과 Amos 26.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 변인의 신뢰도 분석과 기술통계, 변인 간 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 대학생의 성취목표지향성과 학업지연행동 간의 관계에서 과제회피/자극추구의 매개효과를 검증하기 위하여 구조방정식 모형과 부트스트래핑(Bootstrapping)을 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 대학생의 성취목표지향성과 학업지연행동의 관계를 알아본 결과 숙달접근목표지향성과 학업지연행동은 부적 상관으로 나타났다. 수행접근목표지향성과 학업지연행동은 유의한 상관을 나타내지 않았다. 수행회피목표지향성과 학업지연행동은 유의한 상관을 나타내지 않았다. 둘째, 대학생의 성취목표지향성과 학업지연행동의 관계에서 과제회피/자극추구가 매개하는지 확인한 결과 숙달접근목표지향성이 과제회피/자극추구를 매개로 학업지연행동에 이르는 경로는 통계적으로 부적으로 유의하게 매개하는 것을 확인하였다. 수행접근목표지향성이 과제회피/자극추구를 매개로 학업지연행동에 이르는 경로는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 수행회피목표지향성이 과제회피/자극추구를 매개로 학업지연행동에 이르는 경로는 통계적으로 정적으로 유의하게 매개하는 것을 확인하였다.|This study looked at the correlation and impact of academic delay behavior, task avoidance/sensation, and achievement goal orientation among university students and tried to verify that task avoidance/sensation interrupts the relationship between achievement goal orientation and academic delay behavior. First, what is the relationship between the three sub-factors (skill approach, performance approach, and performance avoidance) and task avoidance/sensation pursuit and academic delay behavior? Second, does the avoidance/sensation of assignments meddle with the relationship between achievement goal orientation and academic delay behavior? The survey collected a total of 391 copies of data from online self-reporting questionnaires for male and female college students attending universities in U and B metropolitan cities and used them for analysis. The collected data analysis was conducted using the SPSS Statistics 21.0 program and Amos 26.0 program, and performed reliability analysis of variables, descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis between variables. In addition, a structural equation model and bootstrapping were used to verify the mediated effects of task avoidance/sensation pursuit in the relationship between the goal-oriented college students and academic delay behaviors. The results of this study showed, first, that the relationship between achievement goal orientation and academic delay behavior of university students was inadequate. Performance approach goal orientation and academic delay behavior did not show significant correlation. The avoidance goal orientation and academic delay behavior did not show significant correlation. Second, we confirm that task avoidance/sensation is mediated by the relationship between achievement goal orientation and academic delay behavior of university students and that the route to academic delay behavior is statistically negatively mediated by proficiency approach goal orientation as a medium for challenge/sensation. The path of performance-access goal orientation to academic delay behavior as a medium for task avoidance/sensation pursuit was not statistically significant. It was found that the path to academic delay behavior was statistically significant and statically mediated by the avoidance of performance objectives and the pursuit of task avoidance/sensation. We describe the significance and limitations of this study and suggestions for future research.
