A Study on the Adversity & Family Resilience through Ahn Jung-Keun’s life and Ahn’s family life history

The Ahn Jung - Keun family, which is to be discussed in this thesis, is unequaled in the Korean independence movement history, and is the family who received the most conferment of a decoration(15 people) in Korean history. Especially, it is the record of the families who suffered the most in independence movement history, Ahn Jung-Keun is a person who punished Ito Hirobumi and proposed a spirituality beyond religion and a humanistic philosophy advocating for peace in the East and a direction for world peace beyond the peace of the East. Therefore, this thesis attempted to understand how Ahn Jung-keun & his family to overcome the hardship and adversity they experienced during the independence movement and to find the essence of Ahn Jung-keun's great achievements and the family's resilience, and to understand the universality and peculiarity.

The data for achieving the purpose of this study are basic research, book, biography, monographs, book review etc, and the viewpoint of the research was based on the temporal, contextual, relationship, and information accuracy most cited in life history. The analysis of family adversity and family resilience was based on Walsh (1988) analysis and criteria. As a result, the following conclusions can be drawn from Ahn Jung-keun adversity, family resilience, and family life history. First, Ahn Jung-keun's family had traditionally been armed with a martialism and worked for the nation and nation. Therefore, Ahn Jung-keun experienced a Donghak movement, Eulmi affair, and Russo-Japanese war and got awareness of foreign invasions and national consciousness. In addition, Ahn Jung - keun 's independence movement was manifested in the historical background, in the harsh environment and poor life of the people, of Joseonand it was developed by activities such as education enlightenment movement and government bond compensation movement in the future. Second, Ahn Jung - keun suffered many adversities in the process of independence movement, such as conflict with colleagues, death of grandfather and father, conflict with religion, and limitations in the process of independence movement, but it was not to have been discouraged, but sublimated into a positive mind. An important part of Ahn Jung - keun 's process of overcoming adversity was family support. Ahn Jung-keun's father, Ahn Tae-hoon, was a lifelong companion, and his mother Joe Maria supported the independence movement of Ahn Jung-keun. Also, his wife, Kim Aryeo, had a background in the times, but she quietly supported him without raising any complaints about the life of Ahn Jung-keun. Third, according to the analysis method of Walsh (1988) of family Resilience, transcendental spirituality and positive meaning among the family belief system are the most influential, and Connectivity and social and economic resources have the greatest impact on organizational systems. In communication, clarity and open emotional sharing were evident, and cooperative problem solving was also a factor in promoting family resilience. Fourth, Ahn Jung - Keun family is a family that many family members devote their passion for independence movement. Ahn Jung-keun did not stop his enthusiasm for independence movement in all the hardships after sniping at Ito Hirobumi. And so far remains the best family movement of the independence movement. Ahn Jung - keun 's family was able to do independence movement because of Ahn Jung - Keun' s martialism, family cooperation and family support. No matter how excellent the militaristic spirit, it would be difficult to maintain the meaning of the independence movement if there was no social support including these families.

The implications of the study are as follows. First, this study analyzed family resilience through the life history of Ahn Jung-keun and Ahn Jung-keun family. Through analysis of family resilience, we will be able to emphasize the necessity of parent education based on the life analysis of other great people, family resilience, the process of overcoming adversity and the importance of family power. Second, this study is not a study of surviving characters but an analysis of family resilience through historical figures. Until now, most family resilience studies have analyzed the existing people, but they can be used as basic data for family resilience research through the historical person. Finally, it is pointed out that family resilience can be applied to current parents in various ways such as parent-child relationship and parent education need. Through the story development of the great men who have lived in a healthy and meaningful way of life beyond the ages, meaning can be suggested as a research that can be applied to the value of family, the importance of family, and parent education program or learning tool.

|본 논문에서 다루고자 하는 안중근 가문은 한국 독립운동사에서 독보적이며, 한국 보훈 사상 가장 서훈을 많이 받은(15인) 가족들이다. 특히 독립운동사에서 가장 고난을 많이 당했던 가족들이며, 특히 안중근은 이토 히로부미를 처단함으로써, 종교를 넘어선 영성과 동양 평화를 주창한 인본주의적 철학과 동양 평화를 넘어 세계 평화를 위한 방향을 제시한 인물이다. 따라서 본 논문은 안중근과 가문이 독립운동과정에서 겪은 고난과 역경을 어떻게 극복하며, 위대한 업적을 이룬 안중근과 가문의 가족 레질리언스의 본질을 찾아내고, 보편성과 특수성을 이해하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 자료는 기초연구, 단행본, 위인전, 서평 등이었으며, 연구의 관점은 생애사에서 가장 기본적으로 인용하는 시간성, 맥락성, 관계성, 정보 정확성을 근거로 하였고, 가족의 역경과 가족 레질리언스의 분석은 Walsh(1988)의 분석내용과 기준을 토대로 하였다. 이에 따라 안중근 역경과 가족 레질리언스, 가족 생애사에서 나타난 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 안중근 집안은 전통적으로 상무정신으로 무장하여 국가와 민족을 위해 노력해 온 집안이었기 때문에 일찍이 안중근은 동학운동과 을미사변, 러·일 전쟁을 경험하면서 외세침략에 대한 경각심과 민족의식을 갖게 되었다. 또한, 안중근이 독립운동을 하게 된 계기는 당시 피폐해진 민족의 삶과 열악한 환경 속에 있는 조선의 시대적 배경 속에서 발현되었으며, 향후 교육 계몽운동과 국채보상운동 등의 활동으로 전개하게 되었다. 둘째, 안중근은 독립운동과정에서 동료들과의 갈등, 조부·아버지의 죽음, 종교와의 갈등, 독립운동과정에서의 한계적 상황 등 많은 역경과정을 겪었으나, 그 역경에 대해 좌절하지 않고 긍정적인 마인드로 승화시켰다. 안중근이 역경을 극복하는 과정에서 중요한 부분은 가족의 지지였다. 안중근의 부친 안태훈은 평생 동반자였으며, 어머니 조마리아 여사는 누구보다도 안중근의 독립운동을 지지하였다. 부인 김아려 또한 당시 시대적 배경도 있었지만, 안중근의 삶에 있어서 어떠한 불평·불만을 제기하지 않고 묵묵히 지지하였다. 셋째, 가족 레질리언스의 Walsh(1988)분석 방법에 의해, 세 가지 영역으로 나누어 살펴보면, 먼저 가족신념체계 중 초월적 영성과 긍정적 의미부여가, 조직체계에서는 연결성과 사회·경제적 자원의 영향이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 의사소통에서는 명료성과 개방적인 정서 공유가 뚜렷하게 나타났으며, 상호 협력적 문제해결 또한 가족 레질리언스를 증진하는 요소였다. 넷째, 안중근 가족은 많은 가족원들이 독립운동을 위해 열정을 바친 가문이다. 이토 히로부미 저격을 바탕으로 갖은 역경 속에서 독립운동에 대한 열의를 멈추지 않았고, 그리하여 지금까지 독립운동 최고의 가문으로 남겨져 있다. 안중근의 가문이 독립운동을 할 수 있었던 배경에는 안중근 집안이 갖고 있는 상무적 정신과 가족의 협력 그리고 가족을 포함한 사회적 지지에 기인한다. 상무정신이 아무리 뛰어났다고 하더라도 이들 가족을 포함한 사회적 지지가 없었다고 한다면 독립운동의 뜻을 유지하기가 어려웠을 것이다. 연구결과에 따른 연구의 함의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구는 안중근과 안중근 가족의 생애사를 통해 가족 레질리언스를 분석하였다. 가족 레질리언스 분석을 통해, 향후 다른 위인들의 생애분석과 가족 레질리언스와 역경 극복과정과 가족의 힘의 중요성을 근거로 부모교육의 필요성에 대해 역설할 수 있을 것이다. 둘째, 본 연구는 현재 생존한 인물을 대상으로 한 연구가 아니라, 과거 역사적 인물을 통해서 가족 레질리언스를 분석한 것이다. 지금까지 대부분의 가족 레질리언스 연구는 현존하고 있는 인물을 대상으로 분석하였지만, 이와 같이 향후 역사적 인물을 통해서 가족 레질리언스 연구가 가능한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 현재의 부모들에게 가족 레질리언스가 부모-자녀관계, 부모교육 필요성 등 다양하게 활용될 수 있다는 점이다. 시대를 초월하여 삶을 건강하고 의미 있게 살았던 위인들의 스토리 전개를 통해 가족 가치와 가족의 중요성, 부모교육프로그램이나 학습도구에 활용할 수 있는 연구로서 의미를 제시할 수 있을 것이다.
