Abstract
플라스틱 압출기의 소재압축 및 운반에 또는 단순소재운반 기계 등에 사용되는 대형 축방향 스크류의 가공은 주로 2축선반 또는 3축선반상에서 가공된다. 이와 같은 대형스크류는 일반적인 재래식 선반에서 스크류 가공기능을 이용하여 고정된 단일절삭날을 갖는 공구로 가공할 수 없는 특성이 있다. 그 이유는 고정된 단일 절삭날을 사용할 경우 절삭속도는 요구되는 표면거칠기를 만족시키기에 충분히 크게 할 수 없기 때문이다. 따라서 회전공구를 사용하여햐 하며, 이 경우 스크류 형상에 따른 수 많은 공구위치의 계산이 필요하며, 공구위치 산출에 있어 범용선반에서의 스크류의 가공공?ㅀ? 형상특성 및 공구의 간섭특성을 파악해야 한다. 본 논문은 3축선반에서 볼에드밀을 사용하여 대형스크류를 가공할 경우 그 가공과정과 관련하여 스크류의 형상특성 및 공구간섭의 특성에 관하여 기술하고 있다. 이는 현재 스크류 가공용 CAM 시스템을 개발에 고려되고 있다.
Relatively large axial screws which are used in plastic injection molding machine or simple transfer machine for materials are usually machined on 2-axis or 3-axis turning machine. It is characterized that such screws cannot be machined by use of a single-tipped form tool on a conventional lathe with a single or multiple strokes of tool movement. It is because the proper cutting speed for required surface roughness cannot be obtained from such kind of tool movements. Therefore, rotating tool must be used, and in this case large number of tool location points need to be calculated. In their calculation, the screw machining procedure, shape characteristics and tool interference characteristics must be considered. In this paper, described are the characteristics of screw shape and tool interference to be considered in link with its machining procedure when machining a large screw in 3-axis CNC lathe using a ball endmill. These characteristics are referenced to in the CAM system currently being developed by the author.
