Abstract

본격적인 지방자치 시대를 맞아 울산시는 지금까지 제조업 성장 일변도의 과정에서 미비점을 보완, 정비하여 21세기 국제선진 공업도시로 발전해 나가야 한다.

이리하여 본 논문에서는 울산의 광역시 승격과 21세기 국제선진 공업도시로 발전하기 위해 울산의 현재의 경제구조를 파악하고 문제점을 적출하여 그 변화의 방향을 제시하였다.

With an advent of era of local autonomy, the city of Ulsan must be developed toward an internationally advanced industrial city of Korea in the 21st century, with complementing weakness resulted from a lean- to- one- side policy toward the expansion of manufacturing industry.

Therefore, this research, first, tried to identify the current situation of Ulsan's economic structure and problems inherent in it. Second, it also sought to provide change strategies for the development of a 21st internationally advanced industrial city in Korea as well as for the elevation of city status from the lower level(shi) to great sphere level(kwangyeok shi).
